Run by Maree Pledger and daughter Jade,
Acewild Kennels is the
Tasmanian branch of Victoria's TRUPOINT German Shorthaired
Pointers (Mark Nielsen). We breed for the German
Shorthaired Pointer who can be in the field one day and in the
show or obedience ring the next; who have brains and know how
to use them.
Acewild is also Handler of all GRAUSTURM
Weimaraners. (See
the page of dogs I have titled.)
I started
with Weims by handling Ch Bromhund Ultra Sonic 'LHC'; handled
Ch Bromhund Vega also to her title. Then I came back to Tassie
and started helping the Weim owners here. I have been
associated with Ingrid of Grausturm Weimaraners for many years
now and handle her Weims because I like her attitude to her
dogs and her expectations of puppy owners and her expectations
on herself as a breeder as well. My solo Weim is "Boss" Ch
Grausturm Egomaniac who lives with my German Shorthaired
Pointers.
Trupoint Kennels of Victoria.... Mark Nielsen
started me with Trupoint GSP's in the mid '80's. I had a GSP
since 1977. Ch Trupoint Jimmy Dean CD "Ace" was my mate, and
we went through lots of good times and bad. The Tasmanian base
of Trupoint kennels is therefore named after him - ACEWILD. I
don't know if there ever will be a Acewild Weim litter, but if
there ever is, it will be based on Ingrid's type, with the
longhairs incorporated in there somewhere always.
